No.1 Premiere Bulle (Dozen)

$29.99a bottle

This magnificent cuvee was named after what we think is one of the best inventions ever - Sparkling wine (up there with the invention of red and white wine!). Premiere Bulle translated to English “The First Bubble”, celebrating the creation of the first ever sparkling wine miraculously produced by monks in the small township of Limoux in the South of France. Unlucky is the new lucky. These monks were then succonded by Dom Perignon to voyage to Champagne to assist in developing what is now one of the most prestigious Champagnes in the world. The producer of this exceptional wine is Sieur D'Arques who, may we add, took out the French Winery of the year award. Ahem…if you don’t mind!

Not only is it a great story by what is considered to the Best French winery of the year, but check, the quality is exceptional, as judged by some of the world’s most influential wine shows. Première Bulle – AOC Blanquette de Limoux Brut 2011 Gold and Best in Class and a whopping 94 pts at the LA wine and spirits competition. Gold Medal at Vinalies Internationales 2012.

Trendy and feminine with its fuchsia bubble dress. The wine is light, fruity, worthy of the greatest bubbles. A youthful effervescence perfectly suited to your festive occasions.

Pale yellow with green highlights

Floral Perfume, hawthorn and acacia aromas or white fruit

Bubble slender and persistent

The Board Sommelier:
The open and bright attack with a pleasant sensation of smoothness provided by the bubbles. The aromas of white fruit share those with delicate dried fruit, toast, and toasted brioche. Perfect as an aperitif, it happily accompanies your sofa but also your fish bowl.

The commentary Winemaker:

A revival of the stew in the tradition and modernity. Harvesting by hand, traditional vinification and aging on lees for 18 months resulting in a high quality sparkling wine. Superb!
